iPod LOST ALL MY PHOTOS and SONGS

i recently brought my mac to get a new harddrive and in the process they deleted all of my photos and songs.I got most of my songs back by using my ipod but i dont know how to get MY PHOTOS FROM MY IPOD back to my new mac
can anyone help??
