I did a restore on my iPad and iPhone, and now when I load up pages and numbers my documents are not there. I had some important documents on Numbers that no longer are available.

I now have a few of my Pages documents, but some still won't download. Is there anyway to get these documents back? This is a shame because I was trying my hardest to like iCloud, but if this happens all the time, I may have to think twice about it.

Thanks for any help!

Yeah, I have no idea what to do. One of them randomly showed up, but it was an old version with zero of the updates I'd made.

Anyone know of any solution? I went on my Time Machine but couldn't figure out how to find them.

Hmm, any iOS backups made? Time Machine would only have them if you had the files saved directly to your hard drive. Just open up the location that they were in, Documents or wherever, then launch Time Machine and scrub through until you find a date/time when the files were there.

I tried some of the previous iOS backups, but it didn't help.

So weird, I created another document (this one at least was saved on my external hard drive), but this afternoon when I went to check on it, it was gone from my iCloud. I looked on iCloud.com, and it was no where to be found. I went on my iPhone and iPad and I could briefly see it, but then it disappeared.

Any idea as to why this is happening?

I want to like iCloud, but this is frustrating and by not being dependable I might as well not use it.

First time I have heard of anything like this. First check and make sure your Mac and your iOS devices are all using the same iCloud account and that no one else is using your iCloud account.

I have heard of some people making the mistake of sharing iCloud accounts and not realizing that means they are sharing documents as well which could cause problems.

Also, make sure you have the latest update for all the iWork apps on your Mac and iOS devices. There were a couple of updates some time ago that were specifically for iCloud.

I had a similar problem and didn't realize that I had to update my phone to the latest iOS version. Check to make sure it is updated and see if that helps.

Yeah, it's the most up-to-date version out there, iOS 5.1.1.
