Ok I am running Lion on a macbook.
my HDD had 50 free GBs. I did a zero out of the empty space, for no reason, using Cclean then i did it using the disk utility.

Any way, after doing it with Ccleaner i lost 3 GBs. my Get Info shows 47GBs. I thought I would do it again using disk utility it might fix it.

Is this normal or what? My computer still functions as always , I didn't notice any difference or lost files.

OK I did:
Invisible items-Are Shown
Creation Date-Past 2 weeks

How do you know what stuff to delete? there doesn't seem any big unknown files. Biggest file is a 152mb file and its my iPad backup in iTunes as it seems

I did a disk repair and it told me that the disk was not reading free blocks correctly and now its fixed.

I booted Lion again, but same results. What is weird is that the "Get Info" is giving me a different size than Disk Utlity, what is going on here?
