Hi guys,

So, I have a stupid question... I recently got an iPhone 6 after having a Droid for years and everything was great until I decided to be an idiot and fool around with the messages settings. Mid-way during a conversation with another iPhone user I turned off iMessage, not knowing what I was doing, and found that a bunch of their messages were no longer being sent to me (although on their end it probably says it was delivered). Basically, these messages were never sent to me as I had turned off iMessage in the middle of the conversation and now I have no way of knowing the content (it happened with multiple conversations in that time) and it basically looks like I ignored them. I could just ask them to re-send what they said... but is there any way to retrieve those iMessages that were sent to me in that interim period? I've turned iMessage back on and am no longer touching it. Haven't been able to find any solutions so far... I also have a Macbook pro and thought that these lost texts would show up in Messages but I don't think I had Message forwarding set up probably when this happened, and so they aren't showing up there as well. Any help would be appreciated.

If you turned it back on and no new messages suddenly showed up, then that's basically that, not much else that you can do.

Bummer... I figured that was the case. For the future, now that i have message forwarding on with my macbook pro, will all messages (both text and iMessage) be sent to my pro in the event that I turn off iMessage?
