iPad Pro 10.5 purchased directly from Apple

After I updated to 12.1, I can no longer switch to my other cellular data plans

Reset network settings, no luck. Anyone can duplicate?

Same for me. What on Earth happened ?

Typical, we always lose important features after major upgrades. Unfortunately I am used to it already.

I’m going to the US in a couple of months and this was very useful. I sure hope it will be fixed.
I’ll be calling  tomorrow. It’s closed now where I live. This is a step backwards.

I’ve been able to duplicate throughout the whole of the beta period. I reported the issue to Apple and its remained in the final release

Hopefully this wil be fixed in a future update. If not then its likely Apple have gone all in on eSIM which I believe (but I’m not totally up on this) is a little different to the Apple SIM that was included with older iPad Pro models

Still working fine for me.

Updated through iTunes from the beta using the full ipsw.

I had the same issue and solved it by physically removing the Verizon SIM and reinserting it. Once the iPad connected with the embedded SIM service -- which was T-Mobile for me -- I reinserted the Verizon SIM. Now the iPad let's me swtich cellular data plans again.

I had the same issue on at&t, and the solution was the same as posted above.

Powered on, I ejected the SIM card, went to setting and saw my now deactivated t-mobile esim plan, then reinserted my at&t sim and now can switch between them again.

II don’t have a plan now and am on Orange France but it can hurt to try removing the SIM.

WOW ! You guys are genius ! IT WORKED :)

It works - but only for a few minutes, then the issue reappears and we have to repeat the process. So it's not so convenient. I hope that Apple can address this.

You are right, although mine was fine for a few hours, until I rebooted the iPad. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Correct , I have rebooted my iPad and. It’s gone again.
The good thing is that it’s not a feature that was removed by  but a bug that can be reported and fixed.
I’m going to do so myself.

Done. Here is a link to iPad feedback for you to do the same. The more the merrier :)

12.1.1 beta seems to have fixed this

EDIT actually never mind. The option is there now but I get an error saying it cant connect to the server when I do it

EDIT EDIT Never mind again. The iPad I was trying this from was purchased from a carrier who disabled the embedded sim. It’s working just fine on my other iPad which has an active embedded sim
