Lost iPhone not being located

I lost my iPhone in my home. It is no longer showing up in the Find My iPhone. I have sent the command to ring and display the message. It just has a red dot next to the iPhone. I can call it and it rings. I know it has 60 percent battery left when I last used/lost it today. What to do?
