I have a friend who lost her ipod the other day. Earlier today, she found an ipod that looks like hers at her store. She wants to see if it is hers. She looked at the music, and it wasn't her music, but she suspects that it was wiped and new music was put on it. She is suspicious that it was stolen because it has a scratch on the back that she is fairly convinced is the same as one on her lost ipod.

Is there any way to identify if the ipod is hers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If she still has the box I'd compare the serial numbers. Apple should have some kind of record on the serial number if she doesn't (I believe they would anyways).
