So I lost my remote that I got with my Macbook. I'm not sure where it is, I hope I'll find it somewhere but if i don't I've been looking around to see how much it would cost to buy another one. My question is that I see remotes that are for the iPod docks like this one on apple's website:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APP...pvuYG2yLY07TATDHQDXk/2.0.21.1.0.8.25.7.11.3.3

It looks the same as the one I got with my Macbook. Are they same? Can I just buy it? Does it matter at all?

Thanks,

The Stig

yep the remote is the exact same as the one that comes with macbooks etc.. i think they only advertise it as being for ipod as generally any other compatible product already comes with the remote.

for further evidence, it says on the site you linked, compatible with any apple product with a IR remote after 2005. so you should be more than fine :)
