I bought Applecare when I bought my Macbook CD last year around this time, but I can't find the paperwork that Apple sent me.

Can I call Applecare and have them resend? Will I need to provide them with anything so that they can search their system and resend (ie, Macbook serial number)?

I've torn the house down trying to find the papers, but I've the feeling my wife threw them out (it's happened before).

I need to see if they can change part of the casing, as I've just now noticed yellowing. I never noticed it until I began working under a flourescent light.

:(

You can also Use this link and enter your serial number at the bottom. Your AppleCare information, including expiration date, should show up there.

From the support pages:

Our records indicate that your product is covered under the AppleCare Protection Plan and your estimated date of purchase was 18-Jun-06.

Based on this data, your product has service coverage for 753 more days. Depending on when or whether you registered your product, if you purchased it from an Apple authorized reseller, or purchased an iPod shuffle from the online Apple Store, the estimated purchase date may be incorrect.

Based on the first sentence in the second paragraph, I think I'm good to go, although the second sentence makes me think I may still need to register.

I guess I should call them and ask for clarification and ask if I can register.

(sharp intake of breath) that could be bad I think, they might be proof of purchase or something.

Since a Mac only comes with 365 days of service, the fact that Apple says you have 753 days left would confirm your AppleCare is registered.
