What can I do?

I had a hard drive failure on my iMac. So I lost everything...well, didnt LOSE everything....I had things backed up but my iPhone sync was unfortunately not one of those things (where is it backed up anyway?)

Ive purchased many apps since the app store opened. But obviously I didnt always keep them on my phone. I'd sync regularly so most of what I purchased or got free was in the applications tab when I plugged in my iPhone.

Now - there is nothing there except what was on my iPhone at the time I synced when I got my computer back with the new hard drive in it.

So I'm curious....how can I get every App that I downloaded back into that sync area so I can "check" which ones I'd like synced at any given time? Is there a way to just say "download every App Ive ever bought into iTunes"?

I used to switch it up - and have it only "sync selected apps" .... I want to make sure at least the ones I paid for are downloaded. So many apps, I dont remember the name of all of them...I know I can go into my purchase history and look at every invoice individually and go redownload..but lets be serious, that's a HUGE pain in the ass....what I'm wondering is if theres a better way to do this....

In the iTunes Store, click then button with your email address. You will be prompted to enter your Apple ID password. This will then log into your account. Click on the Purchased Items button. This will list all of the songs, videos, free and paid apps that you have ever purchased/downloaded. From that list, you can download these again for free if they were paid apps and obviously for free if they were and still are free.

Where is the "Purchased Items" area?

All I see here is Purchase History - which as I mentioned above - shows everything that I've downloaded but its basically just a list - and the way they did this for a while is clumped a bunch of things together before sending off an invoice...so this is a list of invoices most have multiple things on them that I can't see without clicking the full details. When I click details I see all of the items on each particular invoice but I dont see any way to download from that page...

...so what you're talking about sounds like something different but I'm not seeing it

Sorry, I forgot what it was exactly called. It is called Purchase History so sorry for any confusion about that. This is the only way, that I know of, that shows all the things you bought. There is no way to recover your apps from a back up unless you had them backed up, i.e. putting them on your iPhone.

Sorry that there is no easier way. You will have to manually download the ones you didn't have on your iPhone. At least you don't have to buy them again though.:)

Yeah it does show me everything at that link. I was hoping you were talking about something else because there is no way to make purchases from this history page..it just shows you a list of your invoices. Most of them have multiple apps on them and I have about 50 invoices or so..maybe more. So I guess I need to click details of every single one and make a master list, then get them all individually from the store. I think it's going to put them on my phone each time I download one too...ughh..this is gonna be a process haha...

Thanks!

If anyone has any other info on like a "master restore" type of thing for purchases let me know! I dont have the time or the patience to do all of this right this second so I'm gonna sit on this for a while hah
