Hi,

yeah stupidly lost my iphone at a party, I got the sim blocked by O2, and double checked that no calls were made. replacement is on its way so no dramas in that department.

I had some private data on the phone which i obviously don't want ending up in the wrong hands.

i dont think i activated the 'wipe phone after 10 incorrect passwords....' option.
but they wont guess the pin anyway.
my concern is that i think they can still plug it into a pc/mac and browse the photos? any other bits they can browse without my iTunes account?

thanks for your help

Lets put it this way, there is NO WAY you can find out if the taker of your iPhone will do what.
He can basically do all , if he is technically able and inclined to do so.
I suspect he will just erase the phone and use it as an ipod touch or perhaps re-register it overseas or sell it overseas.

Don't worry.
Did you have compromising photos? :)

By "sensitive data" you mean pron? Amirite? Don't worry about it....it's not like it's government secrets or something.

haha, not porn as such but my girls ass!

more worried about my work emails. but if i blocked my sim with O2 then i dont think you can get into the iphone can you.

anyone know what happens when you put a new O2 sim in someone elses iPhone?

brilliant, good advice.

ill make sure i set some sort of remote wipe down on my next one.
