Lost my retail DVD (macbook pro 17") pls help

So here is the story

I have a Macbook pro 17 " 2.16 Ghz and seem to lose my DVD of tiger that
where included with the laptop.
Now I'm in need of a reinstallation and can't grab the right copy (i think is what i need)
Have a friend with a macbook pro 15" and the dvd he have don't do it for me
(something like this copy of tiger does not support the machine)

pls help
* i wold not like to buy a fresh copy of tiger when the leopard is so close.

I think you can buy the restore disks for a small price from Apple.
