Lost My Sounds

Had My 3g About A Month All Ok Today I Lost All Sounds I Checked The Switches And I Have No Download Ringtones-- I Can Only Hear Sounds - Alarms Ect Through My Earphones-- It's Like A Mute Switch Has Been Turned On--

Any Suggestions??

No Sound

Tried Plug/unplug Several Times And The Q-tip Trick--- Still No Sound. If I Do The Reset/restore In Itunes, Will I Lose Any Stored Info???
