The issue: Have been running my 13" macbook pro since 2015 (college) it has held up well. Never lost my ports so the reintroduction of said ports meant nothing to me, I run a 2 screen setup with a hand-me-down Acer monitor, as well as the retina display form '15. As a new software engineer, I am feeling the need to upgrade, if not just the display, both my computer and my monitor. Macbook Pro 2021 was basically it for me until I realized they gipped us on the ports, and only a 1080p Facetime camera is a joke for such an expensive machine. Then I told myself id wait for the rumored monitor, and just keep using my 15' macbook as the brains of the operation. Then the studio display releases, which is just a repackaged LG from 8 years ago. I need my $$ to be justified, and now I am looking at the Macbook 2021 with 200-250 off, but living in NY that doesn't even cover the taxes. Any advice? Monitor connected via HDMI continues to cut out and I'm not sure about the intensity of the workflow on my machine. Still looking for a good job.
