So I either lost my work phone or it was stolen out of my room while I was away for the weekend. My work sent me this picture but I honestly don't know what it means, the phone is in the general vicinity of my aparment or does the green dot mean its there? Also can you locate it by making it make a sound like an iPhone?

What phone is it?

You should be able to log into your Google Accountant track where it is and make it sound.

Yes it was stolen unfortunately by my roommate or one of her friends while I was away for a weekend.

Since it's a work phone they have a special program on it that can actually show them a picture of the address where the phone is. I got it from them and gave it to the police but I'm not going to be getting it back. Cops can't do a thing since they don't know if the person who's house it's at is the one who stole it or if they bought it not knowing it was stolen.

Ah. Great to hear back. Pretty lousy of the person that stole the phone -- I'm very sorry that that happened to you. I hope you're able to get another phone soon and put this behind you.

I hope you have a great week! Happy Independence Day (if you're in the US :p)!

The police can still go knock on the door and try to recover the phone. They may not be able to arrest anyone for the reasons you already know.

Nope, they won't! Maybe things are different in America?

What really sucks about the entire situation is since it's a work phone I'll be losing out on some of my pay checks until it's paid off, I work maybe 10hrs a week, it's going to take a long time to pay them back . :'(
