lost the sound on my apple tv!

bad times people . after powering down my apple tv (pulling the plug) upon restarting there was no sound , i did a factory restore without success . my tv seems to work fine . any ideas ? could it be a faulty HDMI cable ?

mine does this sometimes, after unplugging it and plugging back in it seems to work.

hi , thanks for the info , did that and got it working , im just a little worried why it happened in the first place.

Mine does it every now and then, its nothing you do to it...sometimes the sound just decides to stop working...what kind of tv are you using? and you are connecting through hdmi?

I had the same thing just start happening. It happenned in boxee 9.10.xx. The file would play fine however through atvfiles.
