Ive searched and searched but cannot find resolution. Any input is really appreciated.

I had a home movie (was tagged as a "Movie" in iTunes) on my iPhone 6. To save space on a nearly full HDD on my MBA, I deleted the file from my MBA - but wanted to keep it on my iPhone. I just synced the iPhone and now the video is gone. No longer on my iPhone - gonzo. Before freaking out, I checked my MBA thinking somehow it was placed back into iTunes, but no luck. I did a restore (to the iPhone) thinking I could just get it from a backup. Gone there too.

Please, any ideas or suggestions.

Sorry, it's gone: changes to your iTunes library are replicated on the phone when you sync (that's what syncing means), so it's deleted off your phone when you delete it from iTunes. Your only option is to restore it from a Time Machine / other backup if you have one. You'll need to either restore the whole iTunes folder or copy the file out of your backup and add it to the library again as otherwise it might mess up your iTunes database.

Ugh, I was afraid of that but didnt want to admit it. Thanks for the reply.
