Lots of UK Price Increases

I don't get it - in the US store, the price of the iMac Intels are the same price as the iMac G5s, but in the UK store, they're £30 more.
I only spotted the iLife/iWork prices today too which kinda leave a bad taste.
I can understand the justification for adding an additional charge for 'customisation' onto the hardware prices; £30 onto the iMac and Macbook were a 2-3% change which could be justified by currency fluctuations and it was pointed out by someone earlier that it was just reversing an earlier price cut.
iLife hasn't had any customisation but it's an increase of 12% which seems very odd since the US price hasn't altered. I still believe it's a worthwhiel update and I'll get it but I think it's a big jump! I had been considering just going to the Apple Store to buy it since my 12% discount wasn't all that much but now think I'll just wait for it to appear in John Lewis and get it for the 'original' price!
