Not sure if I missed anything between the last update, but I am not one to jump on each update that comes out. I figured since I ordered the 7 plus, I might as well get to know the newest IOS because I won't have a choice.....

No more slide to unlock? It's bad enough they are taking away the 3.5mm port, but now this? The home button will get quite a work out from this change. New lock sound...ick... Bring back the original....Time on lock screen is smaller. Let us at least change the color so it stands out. I am not getting any younger!

Earlier today I made 2 calls and both had an awful loud static sound then it rang, but I stopped the call. Scared the crap out of me. I had to reboot the phone. IOS 10 glitch?

I just updated yesterday, so I am sure it's the 'I don't like change blues', but some things that set the iPhone apart should not be toyed with.

:)

The home button is no longer physical, so you have nothing to worry about.

Hmm... They must have done a good job with that home button for you to not realise it wasn't 'real'.

No more slide to unlock because TouchID is prevalent and we now have raise to wake.

Raise to wake then touch the home button to unlock involves no pressing at all so actually less stress on the home button as its not being pressed at all.

It's true, at times I couldn't tell it was not physical either. Don't get me wrong, it still felt *different*, but I gotta admit, both me and all my work colleagues had to try it several times before we were sure that it was even non-physical, as the taptic feedback kinda gave the illusion of the button being pressed down, when in fact it wasn't. (it was quite convincing though). We only knew for sure when we tried pressing it with the phone switched off. At that point, we knew for sure.

I don't have the 7 plus yet, so for me, it's still quite real. I never used touch ID because it NEVER worked well enough, so it was more frustrating then anything else. Perhaps it's more accurate now....Like everything else in life, change is inevitable...

I thought I heard that the sensor was upgraded with the 6s

It has worked perfect for me since 5s, never had issues. The only change was that since 6s it doesn't have these tenths of a second delay that it had on 5s.

If you own a 5S or later there hasn't been a need to slide to unlock since then. I didn't even notice it was gone in ios10.
