Hello all,

I've got a Mac Pro 2,1 which I've upgraded both the firmware and SMC from 1,1. It seems to run perfectly fine on OS X Mavericks and wakes from sleep with no issue. The fans may run a bit high (around 1800rpm) but it isn't as bothersome as the Windows 7 side.

After I wake up the Mac from sleep in windows, the fans go extremely loud and the machine is so slow that it's unusable. Mouse pointer barely budges and key presses register 10 seconds after the key is pressed. At that point I have to do a hard shutdown and potentially risk damaging the OS.

Not sure what's going on. I've tried everything from resetting SMC, zapping PRAM, and even staring at the cheese grater with intensity to hopefully bring the fan speeds down and make it useable again. Nope.

Something fishy is going on here.... any thoughts?
