So I thought my fan noise was gone after I initially had it brought to Apple to fix the whine/heat. But I was so damn wrong. I don't know why they didn't replace my fan assembly, the problem was so easy to duplicate and I really don't want to be w/o my mbp for a 3rd week (already had two fixes).

Anyways, watch this video. This time i caught it on video for ur listening pleasures. Sit back, turn up the volume, grab some popcorn, and enjoy.

(video just uploaded, try again in a few mins if it doesn't work yet)

Seriously, that sound is pretty damn loud. It was recorded w/ my Sony digi cam. Lets just say the noise level is about 3/4 of max volume on the laptop, so you can get an idea of how loud it is.

I'm gonna show this video to the Genius at the store, that way he won't give me bs. At this point, I'm seriously considering AppleCare/ProCare. It's sad this has to happen to influence me to purchase it. But I still love my Apple

Maybe I'll name my MBP "blender" from now on.

Wow that is seriously loud. The only time I heard such a loud noise from a Mac is when I forgot to reconnect a cable (to the main fan) after doing a ram upgrade for a Mini.
