When making a call in iOS 11 and below, there was a simple speaker button, and if you pressed it, it would immediately turn the loudspeaker on, and if you pressed it again, it would turn it off. Simple and fast.
Now in iOS 12, when you press that button, you get a menu offering 3 options: iPhone, Speaker, and some other one I forget. Anyway, it now requires 2 presses instead of one to turn it on, then again two presses instead of one to turn it off. Obviously speakerphone is super important when driving, and an extra glance at the screen to read text and to select a further option in a menu can easily get you or someone else killed. Phones being one of the most common causes of accidents nowadays, this is a real issue.
And even when not driving, I don't find it intuitive to have to choose between "iPhone" and "Speaker" when wanting to turn on the speaker. The speaker is also on my iPhone, so which one do I choose? It's dumb.
How do I make it so that pressing the loudspeaker button simply turns on the loudspeaker, without asking for further options? I don't get why I would want to do anything other than turn the loudspeaker on when pressing the loudspeaker button.
