Quick mini review here for a product I got to borrow for a few days.

The Loupedeck is a speciality keyboard for LR use. Instead of using your mouse or keyboard, you use the function buttons, sliders and dials that are tied in with software to the controls on LR.

It was really easy to use and I was even able to get Mrs AFB doing some photo editing who is a bit of a nightmare with technology!. Very easy to set up and simple to customise the stuff you use more often.

The only downside I would say is the price. At £289 its quite expensive. But its only been launched so wouldn't be surprised to see that move in the coming months.

I don't believe so. But I had to give it back. They have appeared on a few blogs I watch which is what sparked my interest.

You can roll your own MIDI controller for Lr for a lot less, although it does require some work, and you still need a MIDI controller, which could be ~$50US. See

I think some have hacked MIDI devices to work with Capture One, but I don't use it anymore so haven't looked much into it: https://phodograf.com/controller-1/

In talking to folks that have used one of this, the impression I got was that it's much nicer than using even a pretty good tablet, since the knobs are such an intuitive way to adjust. Without looking. The unit from Beringer described in the video is so cheap some folks use two of 'em. Probably leaves one knob available to order a pizza....

Definitely looking into doing this.

Physical buttons over touchscreens are nearly always preferable. Especially if a degree of control is required.
