the bottom enclosure is indeed a bit hot, but it's definitely bearable. i will update the cpu degree and fan speed later when i get home

the battery behavior is a bit weird tho, it says less than an hour remaining when there is 40% remaining. i'm pretty sure it's the software problem. hope next update will fix it.

ok great keep us uppdated. Have u done a complete drain of the battery and fully charged it since u bought it to calibrate it? if not that is prob the issue here.

Is it the first charge? Or if you're doing gpu/cpu (not hdd for you, haha) intensive stuff then it won't last so long. Some basic web browsing should bring it back up.

yep, it's the first time charge. nothing is particularly cpu intensive... but i do have many apps (safari, itunes, skype, trading software (java based, consumes lots of memory))open at the same time, not sure if that would drain battery faster.

Do you play games (like world of warcraft) if you do please let us know how they look? I'm selling my old MBP and thinking about either getting an AIR to replace it for going out and about with (I have a Mac Pro at home now) but would liek to be able to play games (at low settings) as well

i don't play games.. i think the new graphic card has a significant performance boost over the previous generation.

btw, my cpu is running at 50 celsius and airport card at 32.
