Lovin these iMacs! Got the 20" and 24".

Went and got a 20" imac from applestore this week. LOVED it so much went right back and got the 24" also. MAN these macs are nice. I almost don't want to use my mac pro anymore. Threw in a 1TB drive and 4gb of ram and it beat my mac pro in Xbench by 1 point. Yep. Was a little depressed about that seeing as how my mac pro cost me a bundle with 16gb of ram and all but wow what a great imac.

The screen is captivating. I don't know how people can complain about the screen on the 24". Its just purely awesome. Makes my Dell 24" panels look yellow and dull.

So, on the fence about the imac don't be, its one kick arse machine.

I just bought my parents and sister a 24 inch imac and they absolutely love it. Its their first mac and they cant say enough about it.

Even though it's still in the wrong forum, I can still relate to it! My wife and I have a 24" iMac that we got about 1.5 years ago, and we absolutely LOVE it. It does have it's limitations when it comes to loading an 8GB CF card full of RAW images to it, but that's why we'll get a Mac Pro here in a couple years, hopefully!

But yes, the screen is GORGEOUS and it's foot print is so small for such a beast! Congrats on the purchases!

The thing i love about it is the small foot print and the lack of wires. I only have a small desk so with my printer i needed a desktop computer without the desktop clutter. I got it in the imac

I love the iMac and I'm looking to have my mother buy one. No I'm buy it myself, as I'm still a student.

congrats! i love my 20". screen is perfect for everyday use (im no professional so i can't notice the difference between the 24" unless its side by side) and the 24" is too big for me.

did you return the 20" for the 24" or have both?

Wow that's crazy. congrats.I had to buy a mini (refurb) out of necessity.I will probably go imac again around xmas.

Me too.
I added a G-Drive Q about a month ago and I just purchased some Z2300 speakers for it.
It is the best computer I have ever owned and I like it so much that I'm buying my wife a MBP for a graduation present (getting her Doctorate) next month.

Oh yeah, we also own a shuffle, iPod and new 3G iPhone.
