Low power mode - how does it work?

Does this come on automatically at 20% ?

I run nightshift and i never recall noticing if low power mode is active. No sure if anything cancels it out?

I read you are suppose to get prompted at 20% but i don't seem to remember seeing this prompt?

I restored from backup when i got my 7+

Comes on at 20%, I get a notification, it is turned off when around 80%, again you get a notification. You can also select it manually through Battery settings.

Even at 20% you still need to confirm you want it coming on or not i believe, it doesnt automatically apply. The prompt i see asks me if i want to turn it on as its hit the lower threshold.

The prompt comes with the 20% Low Battery notification. The two options are to close or to enable LPM. It's also on the 10% one if you haven't enabled it already by then.
