On the Apple website it does not mention MBA but only MB and MBP.

But here is proof that LPM is also on MBA.

browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu...

The CPU runs at 1.95ghz in low power mode instead at 3.2ghz in normal mode.

This is what low power mode does as per Apple's website:

"Reduces system clock speed and display brightness to extend battery life."

Nice. I wonder how many hours of extra battery will this result in.
Likely depends on how much power the CPU itself uses and your tasks. I suspect that like most machines when you're not doing heavy work the LCD is the most power draw. If you are a person that keeps brightness low anyway that mean you won't have a drastic power gain from this.

Also, keep in mind that depending on your tasks its possible it may hurt your battery life as well. For example, if you do tasks that would benefit from the higher CPU speed. Something that runs for say 1 minute @ 3.2GHz may have to run 30% longer at 1.95GHz to complete. Depending on the power usage at 3.2 vs 1.95 spending more time @1.95 before returning to idle may result in more power used than a quick burst to 3.2 would. Typically, unless you are doing a video render or heavy image editing you wouldn't run into his type of situation though. Also, if 1.95 IS the idle CPU speed for M1 this can be ignored as while it won't hurt battery life at all, just make your tasks take a longer time.

More importantly, if you're using it on your lap maybe help it run cooler too.
I have it on LPM when unplugged. Last charge was December 28th - I recharged January 4th when battery was at 38%. I was using pages, numbers and keynote. I also watched Amazon Prime and some browsing. I love LPM!
