iPhone LTE-2G toggle for iPhone 5S

I know there are plenty of toggles even one factory toggle in settings to turn off LTE.
I don't think there is one for 3G though.

Turning off 3G no longer really saves much battery life.
It did when 3G chipsets were brand new and power hungry, but these days 3G/LTE is actually MORE efficient because the data transfer is so much faster, each transaction finishes sooner so the radio isn't on for as long.
Back in 2008, sure, turning off 3G saved you battery. But this is 2014, stuff has changed.

And to be stuck on 2G Edge doesn't make sense to me.

LTE can drain battery but for other reasons like low LTE signals in new markets... that's what happens inside some buildings when the phone is hoping between LTE and 3G. There is truth in what you stated there too though.

Soo true, actually now days it would probably use more battery being stuck on 2G than 3G because as they are upgrading their networks, they are decreasing the # of 2G/EDGE towers and because 3G on AT&T 850/1900 has the same range as their 2G/EDGE. Only one that still is slightly benefiting by keeping their customers connected is T-Mobile in rural areas and inside buildings...
if it's any help, back a little over a year ago before the iphone was officially supported by T-Mobile, you could toggle between 2G and 3G. Being connected to 2G only gave me an approximate extra 1-1.5 hours of battery life as opposed to 3G. Now, this could've been bad 3G signal (3G at my house isn't that great, only around 2-3 bars) but it seems if both edge and 3G was at the same signal level, they close to the same amount of battery when not in use
