I haven't jailbroken a device in a while, and have been hearing that you can now side load apps and honestly that's all I would need is this still possible on 10.2? apps like Youtube++, What'sapp + and Snap+ I know there are issues with Phantom for snapchat can anyone confirm or deny?

You can sideload apps that are good for a week. Then they "break" and need to be resigned (this is by design by Apple). IDK about those specific apps, never tried. I use a modified Pokemon go, currently.

Thanks for replying . I didn't l had no idea that the apps are only good for a week that must be a bit annoying

I've been doing this for a couple weeks now as a test to see of maybe it would be a good jailbreak replacement for me. The having to get the apps resigned every week is actually super quick and easy and you don't loose any data you saved in the apps. My issue is finding a source of IPA files that are worth a damn without paying for subscription fees to another App Store. The free IPA sites have very few useful apps and a lot of the apps are available free on the Apple App Store anyway. If you can find a good source of IPA files let me know. That's the hard part. Like I said I've found the side loading and resigning weekly process very painless and easy.

What type of apps are you sideloading? My main jailbreak reasons are widgets, dark mode and animation speed improvements, which I'm assuming aren't doable through this technique.

Yup the side loading method is only useful for hacked apps from the play store. Haven't seen any cool tweaks or apps that aren't from the appstore being sideloaded.

I moved out of jailbreak from a long time, but if there is an App in Cydia that can enable PPTP vpn back again by creating the profile. I would solely buy a phone if it is iphone 7 based on it. I now have the iphone 6s plus 64 3 of them. One is on 9.2 and the others are on 10.2

Different opinions (as I'm already seeing) but I find it annoying enough that I sometimes let it lapse for a few days. It's totally up to you. If you're cool with reinstalling any apps you sideload every three days, you're not really gaining anything else from the jaikbreak afaik
