Hi,

my girlfriend iPhone 4 is too old and I think that it's time to change.

What do you think about Lumia 640 LTE?

She use only:

- whatapp
- car navigator
- browser
- email

She don't use any social network (she is agains't them)

But to use a Lumia, she need to switch to Outlook.com ?

Thanks

If she uses any Google apps (maps, chrome, gmail), she'd be better off going with a moto G. MS and Google don't play nice together.

Have you (or your girlfriend) played with a windows phone? I think you need to be sure you like the UI before taking the plunge. I like it, but its definitely different.

Also as noted by @bandrews, there are no google apps/services on the windows phone platform.

I think for longevity and app selection an inexpensive android phone may be a safer bet.

The Lumia 640 is a fantastic phone! It has excellent battery life, a competent camera, and all-around specs that even Android devices don't have at that price. Based on your needs, you wouldn't regret going from an iPhone 4 to a Lumia 640.

Do you suggest 640 or 640 xl?
The 640 is cheaper than the 640 XL, but the XL has a better camera and a larger screen. It might be too big a device, though. I personally have only used the 640 on T-Mobile and am very impressed with what it's capable of.

The 640 is a great phone for the price. It is also getting upgraded to Windows Phone 10 once It's released. Good size, removable battery, expandable storage and price is perfect! Hoping the app gap continues to close but really enjoy my 640 and how buttery smooth Windows phone is.
