lumix tz3 vs lumix FX12

Hi'
I'm new to this world of cameras, I'm looking into this 2, the Panasonic Lumix FX12 or the TZ3
Which one would you buy?

I'm just into ordinary, party, vacation, day to day, picture taker... but I would like to start (in a short future) to study photograph...
I also like good easy to carry cameras, I hate bulk cameras, the FX12 is as big as a cell phone, and the TZ3 is bigger..

I've also looked at Sony W80 Cybershot... ?

I'm willing to spend up to 260$

Suggestions??

My step dad has the TZ3, and i have to say its an amazing camera.
Awesome picture quality, excellent battery life with the included battery pack, huge LCD screen, great strong build quality, and good size.
Worth the money completely.

I've got a TZ3 and would recommend it - great all round camera and the big zoom is quite useful
