10 at Once, thats what She said!
hey 10 client version is that 10 at once logged in or 10 clients in database?
So just to clarify, the 10 License model is 10 concurrent connections to certain services. So, My home server is the 10 User version, and i have 30 user objects in the database. This means only 10 of my users can connect at a time to AFP, FTP, SMB,etc,etc... This is not a issue for Me, as I live alone, and these accounts for when I have guests, or imaginary friends over.
Now here is the key question, if this is being used in your work environment, and you have 11 users. Is the extra 500 dollars worth it to you to :
A: Not hear Bob'o the angry sales guy complain about not being able to connenct to shared storage.
B: Not have to spend the time and money later when your business grows to 15 people and they all need access to resources at the same time
C: Plan on using External facing services (ie Web Server, Wiki, FTP, etc...) that will count as a connection while serving the out side world. (if you store any part of your website or wiki on a share point this may be a huge issue)
D: Have the pretty box that says "Unlimited Client" on the side, so it can be proudly displayed in the IT closet, with all the other boxes you will never look at till you get audited or need to run a upgrade.
if any of those 4 where your answer, get the $999.00 unlimited version.
