Hi

Just wondered if anyone has come across an internet browser that can display just the text and links on a website like lynx.com does ?

I'm using lynx.com for SEO but want to look at competitor sites but Lynx requires won't work unless you are the owner and have ftp access.

Thanks
David

Using the Web Developer extension for Firefox allows you to disable images and CSS among other things. It gets pretty close (except default styling for headings and such of course) to looking like Lynx, which I use on occasion.

I don't know what "lynx.com" is but "lynx" is the name of an open source web browser that works on most OSes ncluding Mac OS X. Lynx is completely text based and runs inside of a terminal. Lynx is usfull because no matter how badlt the page is formated Lynx always makes the text very readable.

"lynx.com" sounds like a rip off of the name "lynx". But I have no idea. I try to go there and my browser gets re-directed.

Apple makes lynx available on it's site here

Thanks guys

Sorry I didn't mean lynx.com - i normally just google it.

Will try the Lynx app download and firefox addons - both sound good. I also realised that the "develop" menu knocks out the images.
