Not just toggle wifi? Happen with other browsers?
NO. I am using Firefox with my MBP Intel and no problem.
I have check her conection as well and is all good.
I have changed the wifi as well from 2.4 to 5 and still having the same problem
I have cheched the internet connection and is all good.
Might be the Roseta? Firefox still not full compatible for M1

Has to be a lack of full M1 support.

To be clear: she restarts the Mac, then FFX connects to the internet, but presumably only for a limited amount of time before it disconnects, and she needs to restart the Mac again?

How long a time? Does it vary?

or is it after some ‘action’ (e.g., visiting a particular website, clicking somewhere in the browser window, etc.)?

Again, just to be clear: toggling WiFi off/on doesn’t help?

What about fully quitting FFX (not just closing all windows), then reopening?

What about fully quitting FFX, toggling wifi, then reopening FFX?

Apologies for the hella Qs, just trying to help drill down to find a possible solution for you. ? Haven’t heard of this issue anywhere else.

Had similar problem with the Rosetta Firefox -> install the Beta version which supports M1 natively. I have no problems with this one ;)

Just to add -> I had one issue with not being able to select the open tabs (as if the GUI froze), but updated it today (to newer beta) and no issues anymore
Was just going to recommend this, good call!

Seems like the Beta and uBlock Origin don’t play well together at the moment, but if OP doesn’t use UO, then no issue.

Early adopter = friendly user tester.

When Firefox stops, if Safari still works, one can rule out anything having to do with System or Network.

After sometime using Firefox but I can't say after how long. Sometimes quicker. I've tried to toggling the wifi but doesn't help the same quitting FFX.
Thanks for you help anyway

I use FF/Chrome/Safari with almost no issue.

Only issue I see is that Google Meet doesn't run smoothly on Safari with more than 50 people.

There are some issues currently with Firefox on the M1. Firefox Beta works better but it still has issues with some addons. If you use any addons, beware.

Use the beta. It's not as stable as a release (eg many plugins break) but it's FAR better than the release version under Rosetta2. The release version is all kinds of flaky on Big Sur and/or my M1 Air. ;/

Any chance some of you with the M1 and a Firefox version for it, can test the "no script", "disconnect" and "Privacy Badger" add on's to see if they work?

The latest BigSur Update fixed Firefox for me. They must have improved Rosetta.

Doesn't really matter much though, since the M1 Firefox version should be released tomorrow lol

Is there a page or list somewhere which shows which addons are M1/ARM compatible or do they just work anyway now that the browser has been adapted?
