Hey,

is there anyone who uses Tuxera NTFS on M1 Mac?

I can't write on NTFS disk with SIP enabled and I am curious why. I bought both TUXERA licence and M1 back in February. I know that ExFat is working properly but that is not an option here.

Thanks,
A.

Edit: Poor english, question fixed.

Back in January I updated my Mac with a security patch from Apple.
This was Catalina 10.15.7 with Tuxera NTFS version 2018.

With that OSX version, it seems that OSX itself mounts the drives before Tuxera can do so.
This meant all NTFS drives were read only - this may be the same issue you are seeing with Big Sur?

I found that if I used Tuxera Disk Manager to unmount a drive, I could then re-mount it and get read-write permissions.

I fixed my Catalina issue by updating to the later 2019 version, but maybe unmounting the drive with TDM and then re-mounting it with TDM will work for you too...

Hello,

This is expected behaviour as M1 macs need to use "Reduced security" -option in order to use third party kernel extensions.

Our software is Native Apple silicon code, no installation of Rosetta is needed to operate Microsoft NTFS by Tuxera on M1 macs.

If you have any further questions about the subject, you can contact our support at macsupport@tuxera.com
