M1 camera lag on Chrome after 11.2.2?

Hey everyone,

I noticed my MacBook Air M1 camera is laggy on Chrome since I updated BigSur to 11.2.2. That also happens on Edge, so I'm assuming it's Chromium-related. Works fine with Firefox, Safari and other apps. Did anyone notice that as well?

I noticed this first while using Skype Web, but you can validate this on https://www.onlinemictest.com/webcam-test/ and notice it's about 10-15 FPS on Chromium browsers, while close to 60 on others. Tested both v88 and v89 of Chrome.

Well, just for reference: on my old MD Air '2013 running BigSur 11.3 I get ~30FPS in both Chrome V89 and Opera.

Seems like it But anyway, I was able to file a bug with Chromium devs and they identified the bug, seems it will be fixed soon. Reference: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1185626

I get 30 fps on Chrome and 60 fps on Safari.
