M1 computers and gigabit internet (with ethernet)

Hi,

I recently receive my new M1 MBP 16/256, and I am really impressed this the new computer, I feel it has put my 8 core 15 inch with 64 GB ram to shame.

There is only one thing I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if it's an issue with the laptop. I've got 1 gigabit connection (up and download) at home, and when I use my laptop in a desktop setup, I usually connect to it via ethernet, with Speedtest shows that the new M1 MBP can only reach 700-800 download and upload, and my 16inch can reach 940 up and down.

Has anyone else experienced this?

No issues with my MBP 8/256, I reach 940Mbps down and up.
Tested with an Hyperdrive G212 dock and a Microsoft USB to Ethernet dongle.

Thanks for the reply, might be just my dongle, I will try to order another one.

Mine is working fine with n-baseT adaptor via thunderbolt at 10GBe at full speed, so it's likely just the adaptor.
