I've noticed that my M1 iMac with 16GB physical memory, a 15GB swap file is being used already, with only Music App & Safari (3 pages) open. Why? ?. I rebooted & it went down to 15mb.

If that were the size of the swap file it doesn’t just reflect what‘s currently needed but also what has been needed before. Swap file space allocation != swap use. If you had the machine under more RAM load earlier it may have allocated space on the disk for swap “just in case” and it doesn’t free it until the demand relative to the swap reservation falls below a certain level, after a certain amount of time and/or disk space becomes needed
Not that I know of.
It gets to a few GB in a few days, searched it on google and wasn't the only one with the issue. FWIW I have several outputs and a multi-output to 3 of them.
