M1 iMac - Magic Trackpad

Hi folks,

Just purchased a new iMac from a retail store, so it came with a Mouse by default.

I have the existing Magic Trackpad 2 (silver) and my new iMac is silver, so more than happy to use my current trackpad with it.

my question is, is there any material difference in the Trackpad that is available outside of the M1 iMac, and the one that would ship with it if selected?

Just making sure I'm not missing out on any features by sticking with my 'normal' silver trackpad.

Nope, feature wise, but the new one has more rounded edges than than the old one and than your new keyboard. It will look a little weird when close but nothing else

And the M1iMac trackpad sure recharges a lot quicker and holds the charge a l-o-o-o-t longer.
