Hey all,
I just noticed the other day that streaming videos, marked as HDR, no longer play with that feature on my M1 iPad Pro. It definitely used to work as I was able to see the difference immediately. I know some apps were a little dodgy with that feature, but Netflix and the Apple TV app always worked…but not anymore 😞. I’ve updated to iOS 26 but I can’t say for certain it stopped working after I installed it. Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks!

When you say they don't work, does that mean they won't load at all or the apps play the SDR videos? Have you tried YouTube? There are tons of HDR video test channels you can look at and see if they are sending HDR to your iPad.

Sorry for the poor choice of words! Yes, they load in SDR. Good call on YouTube, several videos on there play HDR correctly (like I was saying earlier, it’s very easy to tell when it’s enabled). HBO Max (or whatever they call it at this point) doesn’t push HDR; and Netflix used to, but it doesn’t seem so now.
