Hi people

i have a 6 month old Mac Book Air M1 that does not start.

Things I have done:

1/ checked power supply works fine charging my IPad Pro
2/ Tried a lower wattage power supply (my IPad Pro psu)
3/ press and held Touch ID button for anything from 2 seconds all the way to a minute
4/ Connected my Macbook Pro, running Apple Configurator 2, to the M1MBA via a USB-A to UCB-c cable

Black screen, all night long. No sounds of any kind. Thoughts? The only potential contributing factor I could think of was my daughter using it on her blanket on the bed.

Computers can fail randomly, as does any mass-produced consumer electronics, you don't even need a contributing factor (and of course your daughter can use it on her blanket, it won't hurt the laptop in the least). Contact Apple or an authorized service provider you trust, they will do a warranty repair.

Thanks guys, was kinda what I thought. No Apple stores open at the moment so I’ll have to find an authorised agent.
