I have an M1 Mini 16GB/1TB and an LG 32UN880 Monitor. When I use an Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable to attach the monitor via USB C, it works fine in 1 TB port and does not work at all with the other TB port. If I use a TB to Displayport cable, both ports seem to work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

The mini supports one monitor on the USB C ports and one on the HDMI port. You apparently can’t connect one on each USB C port because it doesn’t have the hardware to do this.

Thats not what OP is asking.. they are saying using an Apple branded TB3 cable it causes the other TB port not to work, if using a TB3 to DisplayPort cable then the other port still works

The display should have included a USB-C cable. Does that one work any differently?

Thanks all! Good point about both monitors. I only have 1 monitor, but at one point I had cables in both ports of the monitor. Its possible that I confused some cables and had them both plugged in to the mini for a short while. I don't thin that's what happened, but it would explain it. Ill do some experiments and see.
