I'm very happy with a new Mac mini with M1 processor hook up to my LG Ultrafine 5K (2019) through TB3 cable.

After boot it working in glamour 5K resolution but when my mini sleep, then i wake it up it will only work in 4k mode.

I have to reboot my Mac mini to get 5k mode again. which annoy me, do you guys have a problem like this on other m1 Macs.

That's really strange, are you sure you are using the proper TB3 cable and not the USB C cable?

I have the same setup and there are no issues so far.

I have the same issue in this setup. Looks like M1 chip has a lot of compatibility issues on external display connections except XDR display.

You can try unplugging the thunderbolt cable from the monitor, waiting a few seconds, and plugging it back in. The resolution should return to 5120x2880.

Thank you, that helps, but I do really hope Apple will fix this in the upcoming Big Sur update...
