I have a 34" widescreen 3440x1400 monitor. I am currently using a Windows gaming desktop and it's connected via DP. If I buy a Mini, will I be able to get the same resolution using HDMI? I've read about some problems with higher resolution displays. Thank you.

Have you seen this thread? There are also a number of other monitor threads in the Mini forum.

I have a 3440x1400 monitor. Works perfectly on my MacBook Air M1 via DisplayPort up to the monitor's max refresh rate of 120Hz.
Over HDMI, I get a max refresh rate of 50Hz. Not sure why. Same with two different USB-C to HDMI adapters. Could be the cable. Need to try others.
