M1 Max Fans (Using iStatMenus) never turn on?

M1 Max Fans (Using iStatMenus) never turn on?

I found that it doesn't seem to turn on (system controlled) fan mode. I have quite a lot of things running and the back of the keyboard is getting hot and it still doesn't turn on.

Most of the time I manually force it to high mode.

Anyone experience the same?

Mine turn on mostly when I am play Cities Skyline. I've also gotten them to turn on when using FaceTime outside.

Mine have never turned on since receiving it in April.
