I don't see any lossless logo in Music player. There are ones in the album but it doesn't show when playing. (this is playing through MBA speakers)

Anybody can play it?

It plays lossless and I see the lossless logo in the playback controls.

Everything works fine. If you're listening to something 96 kHz / 24 bit, set the correct frequency in the "Audio MIDI Setup" settings if the switchover didn't happen automatically.

I have the Miles Davis Album Tutu in my Library (ALAC 24bit/192000Hz). So ALAC supports that bitrate/sampling frequency, but it can not be played under the actual iOS and macOS versions.

BTW on my windows machine, a 3 years old surface book 2, I can play it under iTunes.
Thats crazy and disappointing ?

Edit:
Sorry, it seems to be a problem with my library and not with macOS as another (and the only one) track worked and could be played with 24bit/192kHz. I guess there occured some problems when importing the library on my new MBA.

Yes, but 24bit/96000Hz seems to be maximum. 24bit/192000 HIRES e.g. is not possible (selectable).
I don't think you'll hear any difference between 96 kHz and 192 kHz, especially without specialized expensive acoustic equipment. It's already good that DAC in computers with M1 supports playback quality up to 96 kHz / 32 bit.

You are right, it only becomes a problem if you have such 24/192kHz files in your Library and can not play them due to DAC limitations.
The problem I described above I could solve by a new import though.
