i am using M1 MAcbook Pro, i was checking some settings for universal control not working and found resolution toggle button and turned it on, there i found resolution is 1440x900 Default, i changed it to 1680x1050. Is it fine doing it or should i get back to the default resolution? what will be the drawback of increaseing the resolution?

Things can get a bit blurry because it's not the native resolution of the lcd panel. But if it's good enough for you…

Use the setting that works best for you. It's all subjective.

With how small the pixels are on these displays, "native resolution" becomes a mostly irrelevant number on the spec sheet. At these PPIs the display is able to represent a wide range of spatial image resolution without any loss in visual acuity — at least for a person with regular eyesight.

It depends, I can clearly see the difference and I don't like how it looks. But if it works for you, all the better.

There's no real drawback as long as it looks good to you. I use 1920x1200 on my 2015 Pro and I like the space and don't really notice anything different from the regular resolution in terms of sharpness.
