Are the wireless specs for the new MacBook Pros listed anywhere? Are they good?

I am trying to get my wife to upgrade from her current computer due to wonky wireless issues. How does this computer compare to the new MBP?

The 2021 MBP are going to me screamers compared to that HP, even if it was maxed out. Care to explain more about the wireless issues?

Doing simple tasks like several browser windows, Word, Zoom, etc open simultaneously ... She will experience slow wi-fi speeds which is super important since she teaches online. For example, this morning she was seeing 40 Mbps while I stood right next to her on my iPhone 13 Pro and registered 350 Mbps.

The Wi-Fi card in your laptop is Wi-Fi 6 comparable I doubt it’s the card. Many laptops use the same card.

Is she connected to a vpn? I don’t teach but for my work I’m connected to a vpn and so my bottleneck is the speed of the vpn so I get around 120 mbps when my normal Wi-Fi speed is 400-500

I don't think she is connected to a VPN.

So if it isn't the wi-fi card, what might it be?

That's weird. Might be a software/driver issue. The HP ProBook 450 G8 is a current model too. I believe it has 11th gen Intel in it.

The wifi spec states ... 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz (160Mhz)

Does this mean 5Ghz is only running on the 160 channel? If so, maybe that causes instability if the router is set to auto select. Maybe the OP should manually set the router to 160.

Thanks - I'll give that try. Still may get the MBP ;)
