This is the monitor I use Alpha Scan Beyond UHD 5K27. This is a single-line dp1.4 monitor capable of 5k60hz. At the beginning I bought a bunch of usb-c to dp 1.4 and tried to connect to the 5k monitor. The mac mini m1 was starting up. There is no screen on the monitor. After entering the system, the monitor will flicker for a moment and then remain black. The screen is bright but there is no picture. I tried to turn off the power and unplug the cord and occasionally light up perfectly. 5k 60hz, there is no problem at all. , But in most cases, the monitor cannot be lighted up and the monitor cannot display the screen after sleep. I think it is caused by the insufficient bandwidth of usb-c to dp 1.4, so I purchased Thunderbolt 3 WAVLINK WS-UTD21 and used it. After Titan Ridge JHL7440 is connected to dp1.4, I found that the effect is the same as that of usb-c to dp 1.4. I found that up2715k can be solved by adding DisplayVendorID and rotating 90°. I tried these two methods but it didn’t. For my monitor, there is still no picture. I found that the brightness can be adjusted by ddc/ci after adding DisplayVendorID. I think up2715k may be a dual dp 1.2 monitor and it can be resolved by recognizing it as 800x400 under mac. I use vnc to connect mac and find that it can be The device recognizes a display of 5120 x 2880. This display does not support Displayport MST, so it can only single dp 1.4 5k. Here are a few 5k models that I found familiar with this monitor:
Iiyama XB2779QQS Planar IX2790 Acer EB276EK Among them, I found that the Planar display interface is the same as mine!

Hi. Did you get your M1 working with your 5k display? I have the Planar IX2790 and am planning to get the M2 Mac mini.

I gave up as I said it was a black screen in most cases. Occasionally it can light up 5k, but it cannot be turned on after shutdown or sleep. My friend uses Acer EB276EK. This monitor is exactly the same as my monitor setting interface. I have the same problem when using it under m1. I found that Iiyama XB2779QQS has DisplayVendorID in the system I added those didn't work, I don't think apple will fix it later
