Hi guys,

Just wondered if anyone has any concrete proof that an eGPU works or doesn't work on the new chips.

I can't imagine they would knowing apples thought process but I can't be the only one dying to know this.

Has anyone with the new macbook tried an eGPU yet? Did Mac OS recognise it? And if it doesn't work natively is it possible to work through parallels or something?

My dream is to buy a new macbook but have an egpu for parallels gaming.

Cheers all.

Egpus won’t work on macOS and at the moment there is no pcie pass through for VMs. The latter could change in the future. The former is unlikely to but if in the future you run something like Asahi Linux as your home OS it will see the eGPU and probably be able to use it assuming driver support of course (the issue is macOS, not the hardware).
